Daniel Renstrom's latest
Daniel is a good friend of mine and he's releasing an album celebrating Christ's Incarnation next week (October 27th). I'm assuming you can get it on iTunes since his last album is up there. While your purchasing this album you should buy his last CD. Laurie and I often listen to "fear and tremble" while we're getting ready for bed at night - awesome song writer and theologically and doctrinally sound. That's a hard combination to find these days in the music world.

The above Average of the bellow Average
C.J. Mahaney often claims he is a bellow average pastor but for those of us who revere him as a spiritual hero and love his works and his ministry would claim he is an above average pastor. Thankful for men like this who serve the church and her pastors lovingly and humbly.

A Final Farewell but not for Long
The hot and humid air was unavoidable, and I'm starting to think that putting on my suite jacket may have been a bad idea. The crowd begins to assemble under the shade of two tall old Pine trees. Everyone stands behind a single women who is as stoic and dignified as a soldier standing in formation. Her strength gives us all the wonderful gift of composure on a tough day for all. Men, women, babies and teenagers coming together for a common purpose. Everyone assembled has been directly or indirectly touched by a man who served God for well over seventy years. The evidence of God's blessings on his life are displayed in the stories shared. The testimony of his life is a beautiful picture of the Gospel.

Maybe Lifeway bookstore isn't that bad after all.

This is a must read for any serious Christian. Actually I think we may have hit rock bottom with this book - I feel sorry for the publisher, they must be the laughing stock of the Publisher's conventions - if they're not then we've got a serious problem. Chances are we have a serious problem!
